Califax
i use a focuswrite sapphire right now.. we use this for live performances - loop our pre-recorded midi loops live over our guitars/drums and such (we're an electronica group). anyways, the sound seems really cluttered in our music at live performances and stuff, but i really want to know if there is a nice audio interface for live performers that use logic that will give us quality sound...without spending more than $500. the sapphire is around the $300 range, and offers an average sound...anything in the $300-500 range that will offer something better than what we got now? or is this something we gotta stick with? thanks ~Cassie
fader8
If all you need is 2 analog output channels, then pick up an Apogee Duet. That's about the best sounding thing in that price range. Just be careful as the breakout cable isn't really roadworthy. But if you can strap it down and strain relief it sensibly, you'd be alright. deltonfoster
If I was going to use my Duet on the road I would get this at some point soon: http://www.mercenary.com/duetbreakout.html Other than the breakout cable thing it is a great sounding interface!
