DinDan306
I'm new here and am looking for the best ways to achieve a vintage sound throughout my recordings. Any tips or suggestions on inexpensive plugins, mic placement, edits, or anything else really that can be done?
jtees
There are some vintage circuit impulse responses in space designer under "warped effects" > "Analogue Circuits" Unlike tradition impulse responses in space designer these are best if placed directly on the inserts in a channel strip with 100% wet, rather than sent to an aux. Thanks a lot! I had previously somehow deleted my space designer presets, so I've gone back and reinstalled everything and wow, these analog circuits are just what I was looking for! Thank you. XMaramena
I'm going around the studios here running impulses through the preamps and analog desks... will compile them and share them here when I'm done

Eriksimon
Extreme panning! Drums to one side, vocals to the other! Then make a clean mix, get a cassette deck, record your mix to a CrO2 or Metal tape, the take out the cassette, carefully loop-pull out the entire length of tape containing your mix, make that into a ball, make it crinkle, but not too much, then carefully wind it back into the cassette, make sure there's no twists. Play back the tape and record that back into Logic. Or is that more of a seventies sound...?
