Ploki
Finally a retina supported DAW. I'm THRILLED! It also has the environment. I'm really thrilled! Edited July 16, 2013 by Ploki

Rev. Juda Sleaze
I wonder if the environment is unchanged?
steveo12ax7
... I'm a bit stunned, hahah! Had to skim 90% of that article before I decided it wasn't a hoax. Currently trying to reserve judgement based entirely on its Garageband-like interface.
strikingtwice
Hey, where is it? It's not on the app store and the mac world link doesn't work. Mainstage 3 is on the app store, was logic taken down?
beej
MIDi scripting looks like something that can really take the environment and Logic's MIDI handling to the next level... nice..!
anp27
The App Store link is working, but no purchases can be made right now..
GeoGrvscl
the first thing I saw on my FB feed and jumped here. I haven't checked any of the detail. and can I just say OMG.
Rev. Juda Sleaze
The virtual drummers thing looks odd. But that's probably my inner drum programming snob coming out
strikingtwice
I don't know Rev, I've messed around with it while scratching up tunes on the iphone gband, and it's sick. It looks like a roid'ed up version of that.

Currently trying to reserve judgement based entirely on its Garageband-like interface. Me too. I saw this first on reddit, and I immediately opened logicprohelp to confirm that it indeed isn't a rumor. Such a quiet release.
minus1
Haven't seen any mention of video handling - did they get rid of it? Edit -- Oh, finally saw it - was worried for a bit! Edited July 16, 2013 by minus1

thedivisionbell
They have really been listening. We now have - track folders - summing folders - easier access to the Arpeggiator The patch idea is brilliant, it's something I have tried to replicate so many times using Environment cabling. Some ideas are taken from Reaper - the Smart Controls, for e.g.
deckard1
10.8.4 only, no 32bit AUs! Is this correct?

strikingtwice
Yes it is true. Time to upgrade everyone, mountain lion is a perfectly stable os. 32 bit au's the only one I need to update really is Slate FG-x but from what they say it's pretty close. My birthday is Thursday, this couldn't be more perfect!!!
IainPetrie
yeah, looks good! Track AND summing folders. Thats a good enough reason for me to buy alone. Hope they've fixed some bugs on the way too... No 32bit AU's... not so good. i love my VB3
anp27
Retro Synth looks cool! I wonder if they made any changes to the old instruments (EXS24, etc...)

Starfox
Im not sure what to make of this yet., but im not sure if im impressed. EXS 24 is still there! what? Been working on this for years now, when will they update its ridiculous GUI? and the editor? It just sounds like a bad joke. And they have bid farewell to 32-bit plug-ins.. are they for real! (Was it really that difficult to give you the choice) I use Sylenth1 for so much of what i do, It has been voted most favorite Virtual Synth for producers,.. the lack of 32 bit support is a dealbreaker for me. Hopefully apple will see this and fix. just a few improvements, I guess thats why its so cheap! I went and did it and got my hopes up.. fisherking
does this mean no more "logic X pro rumors" thread? damn... i haven't even explored it yet. am excited...and screwed (sylenth1, one of my main synths, is 32bit). but...what the hell. am READY... offaxis
hopefully someone can figure out a way to make a "64 bit wrapper" for all the old 32 bit plugins..
