Rev. Juda Sleaze
Looks like these have been around a loooooong time, but a search here didn't find any reference to them. A whole heap of orchestral instrument samples are on offer here, if you're willing to chop up the samples and stick 'em in the EXS (or wherever). 16bit, 44.1kHz, recorded in an anechoic chamber. Each instrument is recorded chromatically at pp, mp and ff, non-normalized. I've checked a few out, they sound really nice and dry, which is exactly how I like it. http://theremin.music.uiowa.edu/index.html
TheRdungeon
Thanks heaps for these, are you able to get the Flute without vibrato? Seems to 404 on me http://theremin.music.uiowa.edu/MISflute.html Cheers
Rev. Juda Sleaze
Yeah, unfortunately there are some files no longer there, I found that there's no tenor trombone with vibrato (of course, that's not too bad 'cos you can add that with the EXS, a much harder task to take vibrato out! ) Maybe they'd respond to an email? ibt
Nice find! Is there an easier way to download all the files on one page than click>Download Linked File etc. (e.g. there are 24 files on the Trumpet page alone = 24 x zzz )

I guess it was made for ye olden dial-up days, when trying to download more than 6MB at a time would've been an even bigger problem.

You can configure to download every .aiff file on the site in one click. Then just sit back.
