Zimonio
Recently dropped my hardest banger ever BOSS. We kind of experimented on this one, would love to hear what you think
David Nahmani
I really like your flow. The chorus hits hard. Dark and powerful. Well done. If it were me I'd experiment with a little less backup vocals in the background during the chorus so that the lead can stay up front and punchy and powerful. Just something to try and see which you like better.
MikeRobinson
I agree. The recording of the lead vocal is very clean and sparkling, and all of the sounds and instruments in the non-chorus sections are well-separated. The verse sections are "remarkably clean and good." But, when you go for the chorus, things begin to "clash," both with the vocal and with each other. They're all sitting in the same frequency ranges, and their respective rhythms are suddenly jumbled. What you have in the chorus right now seems – well – "noisy." No longer coherent. It just doesn't "fit." So, I would suggest very specifically that you "clean up" (just) the chorus section: I think you're trying too hard. We ought to feel that new, different, and exciting ideas have been added, yet are "still compatible with" the verse. "Less is more."
Zimonio
Thank you so much for your comments guys! I will definitely try to experiment a bit more with the choruses in different directions, I think I agree that it could hit a bit harder
MikeRobinson
Yeah, to my ears the "clash" causes the song to lose momentum. It's a mash-up right now. But fortunately should be an easy fix.
