I don't think I ever heard a bigger esthetic contrast in one song. The chipmunky vocals are horrendous. Get a(ny) serious singer with a husky soft sexy voice and have the balls to make it so the lyrics can be understood. The song is worth it. camillo jr Posted February 21, 2014 Share Posted February 21, 2014 Agreed. Not sure why I would want to listen to a cartoon voice for a whole song if I can't even hear what the cartoon is saying! Like: overall production, E piano solos (yes! pop music needs more solos!).... and I even like the grainy effect, as and effect, on the voice. Not so much the chipmunk aspect but the "smooth scratchiness" of it. But yeah, I too would like to hear a more sultry singer do this justice. Unless..... are you just taking the piss with this genre? Maybe I should go back and do the vocals for real, it was supposed to be funny, but I guess the humor would be in taking the vocals seriously and letting it be weird.
