"Rain, Rain" - 21st century Logic remake

Wed Apr 07, 2021 7:53 am

Hi all - here's a 21st century remake of a song I wrote and recorded on 4-track back in 1986. I've tried to keep as close as possible to the original, just for kicks. It's kind of a trip to rediscover how much thought and energy went into 4-tracking, back when. I had to put on my Sherlock Holmes hat to come close to nailing the sound and vibe of the original. This included putting the old version into Logic and playing around with Smart Tempo and such, locking the track to a grid. I've moved from Pro Tools to Logic in the last year and working on remakes of older material has been a great way to try out new skills...
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the song/recording!
