My MainStage laptop is the only one with a FireWire 800 port. Is it possible to record and use MainStage live at the same time? Is that a CPU recipe for disaster? ochikubo Posted March 1, 2016 Share Posted March 1, 2016 I have tried it, but didn't attempt to record as my computer ran out of CPU cycles, just cause MainStage takes a lot of CPU and glitches every now and then. What I ended up doing was just moving the few patches that I needed over to logic and then recorded MIDI in logic while playing the patches live.
