canaryyellow
I'm super new to this and want to play my guitar over a backing drum track. I have made a basic concert and in it is a patch that I think is working that I'll use for my guitar looper. I've also made a rhythm patch that seems to be playing a drum kit powered by the ultra-beat drum machine. The problem that I'm having now is how do I keep the drums playing while I play the guitar? If I start the drums and then go to my guitar patch the drums stop. Should these two actually be one patch? Thanks.
Eric Cardenas
There are many ways to do this. Start by making them the same patch. Later on you can start working with hierarch, placing channel strips at a higher level like song or concert.
canaryyellow
Since I already have the two patches is there a simple way to merge them?
Pauly 6 String
Since I already have the two patches is there a simple way to merge them? Copy the channel strip from one and paste it into the other. Delete other patch. One channel strip for guitar, one for backing tack. Think of it as the patch is a small mixer and you can use multiple inputs at the same time. Anything you put on the Concert level will be available in all Sets and Patches. Anything you put in a Set will be available in any patch within the set. Anything you put on a patch will only be available on that patch
