joachim_s
Hi! I can’t seem to get my SamplePad Pro working with EXS24 and other drum kits in MainStage. I’ve tried looking up how to hook up electronic drums to MainStage but all I find is how to assign keyboard drum pads. Can someone show me in the right direction so I can make this work? Kindly, Joachim
joachim_s
Just realised I haven’t even downloaded the driver for it . I’ll just try and do that first and then get back to you. Edit: Nope, that wasn't it. It's just not working. I have MainStage 3.2.4 on Yosemite. Is that why it's not working?
skijumptoes
Download and run midi monitor to confirm if the samplepad is sending MIDI data to your machine:- https://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/
joachim_s
Download and run midi monitor to confirm if the samplepad is sending MIDI data to your machine:- https://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/ Thanks! However, it is working. With the templates such as the 8 Drum Pads concert. No hussle whatsoever. But as I try to add pads to an existing patch, I only get to assign the pads successfully (they lit up), but there’s no sound and no option under the Instrument Channel Strip Inspector > MIDI Input > Keyboard. I really hope someone could help me figure this out
joachim_s
Solved it. I just had to choose specific MIDI notes for each pad in the Channel Strip Inspector. I thought it was enough to assign each pad to each note under layout.
