lookatthisguy
Hey all, long time no talk. See. Post. Whatever. I'm trying to set up a MainStage concert for my girlfriend, who's playing for a high school musical, and we're trying to use the keyboard from the school where she works. A Roland RD-700. It's got MIDI only, so I've tried setting it up through my Scarlett 2i4 and my old Midisport 2x2. Neither unit is receiving any MIDI data from the Roland as far as I can tell, and this is driving me up the wall. Is anyone out there familiar with the RD-700? Does anyone have any ideas on what's going on? Thanks in advance. This is a total shot in the dark and a total cry for help, but it seemed to be worth a shot. ochikubo
You might need to load a midi driver for the midi interface. I have two m-audio midi interfaces and one requires a driver and the other does not for some reason. But they look the same.
lookatthisguy
Thank, ochikubo. I did install the driver for the Midisport. Still no joy.
shanabit
Page 99 https://www.manualslib.com/manual/141888/Roland-Rd-700.html?page=99#manual Check all that. You may want to restore the Roland to factory settings as well. Im assuming you are coming from the MIDI OUT port on the Roland to the MIDI IN on the Focusrite and or the other midi box
