jerrydpi
I asked this question on the LPX Forum: My goal is to assign fader 1 to control the volume of track 1 of LPX, fader 2 to control the volume of track 2, fader 3 to control the volume of track 3, and fader 4 to control the volume of track 4. How do I do that? Here was the answer: 1) Click the first fader in the Mixer in Logic. 2) Choose Logic Pro X > Control Surfaces > Learn Assignment for "Volume". 3) Move the first fader on your controller. 4) Click the second fader in the Mixer in Logic. 5) Move the second fader on your controller. Low and behold, the instruction for LPX fall apart because MS3 doesn't follow the #2 instruction because there is no Control Surfaces > Learn Assignment for Volume option. So how do I accomplish my goal on MS3?
Atlas007
Have you tried the Learn controller assignment and then the Map a screen control method?
jerrydpi
Hi Atlas! For some reason MS3 isn't as logical to ME as Logic is I'll use a Concert I have up now. Even though it says the Patch is Piano and Bass, the original Patch layout is long gone. The shown Piano has a Bass (in this case it's a Trilian Bass) from the lowest note up to B2. From C3 to A4 is a Keyscape Electric Piano. and from A#4 to G7 are Logic Horns. So when the link you provided starts off with: 1) In the workspace, select the screen control you want to learn. 2) The selected control appears highlighted in blue. My first question is how do I select what screen control I want to learn in the Workspace when I don't see any screen control to learn? All the Workspace shows is 6 knobs for an EP that's not the EP I'm using, and under the knobs all it shows is the Bass Guitar, EP and Horns with their appropriate zones. jerrydpi
My biggest drawback, among MANY Atlas, is that says: Drag the screen control from the Screen Controls palette to the workspace. That's great assuming one know where the Screen Controls Palette is, but Jerry doesn't, as he doesn't see that option anywhere on any of the drop down Menu's
Atlas007
Check the picture on this documentation page, the tab is actually named Panel Controls..
jerrydpi
Now that's a different thing, and I'll try to take it from there now, and I'll Post again my results. Thanks Atlas! Jerry
