jjLOAKS
How feasible would MainStage for the iPadOS be? Rumors have recently been circulating that Xcode, Final Cut Pro, and Logic Pro will be coming to iPadOS within the next year, and if true logically MainStage would make the most sense in that mix as a performance tool. facej
You could just use GarageBand to play samples that live on the iPad...
Maddcow
I could envision certain functionalities being ported to iOS as a feature-limited app but can’t see MainStage being adapted for iOS as-is, especially with audio processing for live performance. There’s just way too much latency and that won’t change anytime soon.
jacou
Oh I can’t really agree with you. I’ve been using my old iPad Air 1 to play electric guitar through AUM with very little latency. Maybe 6ms. I don’t see why Apple wouldn’t be able to release a proper Mainstage version on iPadOS. But it’s probably not their main priority. Let’s first hope for a good enough Logic version on iPadOS. thirdspace
Great idea - a player version of MainStage for iPadOS, editing to happen in the Mac version?
