teamworkmammal
i cant find any aux objects to route multi out instruments. does mainstage support this?
Subtonic
Mainstage only supports Logic Audio Instruments. Anything external, like an external synth or ReWire software is not supported, nor or 3rd party AU instruments.
neiljohnstonii
Actually, 3rd party AU instruments are supported
teamworkmammal
hmmm perhaps i wasnt being clear i want to set up ultrabeat so that i can use its "multiple output" capability to run my beat samples through the main, and then a metronome click so only the drummer can hear it through outputs 3-4. but when i go to create objects, i can only create a bus which has no place for the ultrabeat input than an aux object would have, when running ultrabeat in multiple output mode. ya got me? carrmar
Teamworkmammal- I would love to know this as well. Why isn't someone making a tutorial that gives real world applications of Mainstage in a band's live rig?
teamworkmammal
ok heres the deal. no multiple output instruments as per my understanding. what i did do however, is put an ultrabeat at the 'concert' level and put its outputs at 3&4. then with the "start/stop" button set to my controller, all subsequent ultrabeat instances line up w/ the global ultrabeat with the click. not ideal, but it works.
