liquidlogic
Wow this forum sure is quiet. Either nobody is using mainstage or it works great.

manofra
Like swade518, I can't tell for others, but I guess not many people are using Mainstage. I like it a lot and really want to use it, but things like the first note bug and the HUGE memory demand forbid it at the present. I've tried it, it worked ok, sounded very good, the programming was not complicated, but it's eaten all the resources from my machine. I'd need to switch my new Macbook 2.0 with 2 GB of RAM for another one capable of 4GB RAM, which seems ridiculous. Live does the same things and then some more with 1/4 of that power. I'm sure Apple has competent enough people aboard to fix these problems.
groovecake
I use it all the time and it works great with large sample sets and concerts with lots of different patches.

AFAIK the first note bug is known to Apple. And the memory demand is solely based on the plugins you use. With all the internal ones with works fine with 2GB of memory. I've also read the rumor that NI fixed the memory issue in Kontakt 3, so that their sampler now reuses its own samples if an AudioUnit hosts sets up several instances of it.
