Garageband MIDI

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I use Garageband iOS on iPhone to write a lot on public transport, but I've had a problem transferring the MIDI information to Logic afterwards and getting it to work. Does anyone know why? It happens when I want to use a different patch e.g. from GarageBand cinematic strings to a different third-party sound. The only thing I can think of is that they no longer seem to put remix fx on the master out anymore. Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks

Ryan

Since you mentioned cinematic strings, I ran into the same issue.

The MIDI that came from iOS Garageband to play the cinematic strings has to use those cinematic strings because of the articulations that are available for that particular cinematic strings.

Switching to another 3rd party string or even another Logic Pro X string won't work because of those missing articulations.
