Piece in E Major displays as F# Major for Bb Clarinet

Recommended Posts

I know see a problem in your gif example. Instrument 3 is switching from C#->Db, not F#->Gb. My fault in the original post saying 5 flats instead of 6.

Minimizing accidentals from F#->Gb wouldn't make a change because they have the same number of sharps and flats (6 and 6)

Been digging through every setting to no avail.

:-(

Gotcha. Change the key and use staff styles and region settings to make everything jive.

This is an interesting edge case. Or bottom of the circle of 5ths case.

For Horns in F this shows up when the key is B Major. Horns will be in F# Major. In Cb Major the Horns are in Gb Major. That makes sense to my music theory brain.

Thanks for your help!
