ericstlaurent99
This is a long shot - not sure if anyone will be geeky enough to read through this (let alone answer it). In the MIDI editor, we can select a sequence and apply MIDI TRANSFORMATIONS like DOUBLE TIME or HALF TIME. So far so good. Now what if I wanted to transform a run of 16th notes into a a quintuplet (5:1) ? I think I would multiply this sequence by 1,2 so that the sixteen notes (4:1) are slowed down to a quintuplet (5:1) Right? But when I do this, what comes out is NOT a quintuplet at all. So obviously, either my math is wrong or my understanding of the MIDI transformation is wrong (or both) What am I doing wrong here? Anyone? Thanks in advance
tomorrowstops
I haven’t played with Midi Transform more than making notes all the same length, but now I’m curious. I’ll take a look tomorrow and see if I can figure out your idea!
