marke45
Hi. Im very new to Logic Pro and using midi instruments. I'm recording from a Roland TD-1K drum kit but the notation in the score needs to be transposed. I'm expecting an F on the stave for the kick drum for instance. Attached. Many thanks. fuzzfilth
I went to Roland's website and downloaded the TD-1K manual for you and this is what it says: Changing MIDI Note Number of the Pad 1. Press the [select] button to select Drums mode. 2. Long-press the [ ] (metronome) button. The mode lamp blinks. 3. Press the [select] button to blink Coach mode lamp. 4. Play the pad whose note number you want to change. The display shows the note number. 5. Use the [-][+] buttons to change the setting. Value: 0–127, OFF 6. Press the [ ] (metronome) button to complete the setting. marke45
Brilliant. Thanks a lot. So changing the kick to 62 puts the note correctly on the stave but now there is no sound produced for the kick.
fuzzfilth
You set the MIDI notes so they trigger the correct sound in Logic, then you worry about the score display.
marke45
Forgive me but you're dealing with a complete beginner. Before changing anything in the Roland controller the correct sound was already triggering. I don't know how to set the score to display the correct notes. fuzzfilth
I see. Then select the correct Score Style for drums:
