BlindSummit
The problem I sometimes have in writing songs is feeling an emotional connection with the music. I find that if I have the story of the song first, then I can match the mood of the music to the story of the song. Whatever it takes That's a bit deep for a beginner man, not very helpful at all. The lad's havin trouble writing a melody and you want to bring emotion into it.... ahhhh
ggrelad
my recommendation: turn everything around you off, close the door, start playing the guitar/piano with basic chords and wait for inspiration... When you find one, record it...
