tristancalvaire
I'm having a total rhythmic blank at the moment. Some synth LFOs with tempo snap offer a '1/12th note' as a rhythm option– I'm just trying to conceptualize what that note actually is in rhythmic score. A dotted eight is a 3/16th note, so it's not that.. is it an eighth triplet? I'm so very confused at the moment x_x
Eric Cardenas
It's an 8th note triplet.
tristancalvaire
It's an 8th note triplet. Thanks much! I'd always had a rhythmic sense for what a triplet felt like but I never knew what its actual numeric value would be. I never realized that a triplet was 1/3rd of the next larger unit despite that making perfect sense. Multiplying by 2/3 makes everything far simpler as well.
