How to attach files to your post

Thu Aug 09, 2018 2:17 am

To attach a file (a screenshot, a Logic file, etc...) to a post:

• To take a screenshot, press Command-Shift-4 and drag around the area to capture.

• To attach a Logic file, make sure you save the file organized as a folder (not a package). Then in the Finder, go inside the project folder, control-click the file and choose Compress (name of the file). Attach the resulting .zip file here.

1. Click the green "+ Post Reply" button at the bottom of a thread.

2. Below the text area, click the Attachments tab.

3. Click Add files.

David it seems like Cmd-Shift-4 no longer works. It's now Cmd-Shift-5.

There are different methods for taking screenshots: Command-Shift-3, Command-Shift-4, Command-Shit-5 ... they all work as expected here including Command-Shift-4 which allows you to easily drag to select the part of the screen you need to capture.

Interesting. CmdShft-4 doesn’t work for me at all, and I have no key modifiers installed.

Which of these of these steps make the file solid and ''selectable" for attachment? That's what I need in order to attach the file to a comment. It doesn't seem to be such a complicated detail.

If it's a Logic file, follow the paragraph that starts with "To attach a Logic file...".

Great, however make sure you post the screenshot in the thread where we're discussing your issue, not here. Thanks!
