Tommy777
Hoping someone can help me with a basic setup problem. I'm using a Roland RD-800 keyboard into a Roland Quad-Capture interface and into my Mac. I can't access any of the sounds from the keyboard when I set up a Midi track. I see the sounds listed in the drop down menu within the Logic track, but no sound except the Piano patch. Do I need to do something in the Environment Window? What am I missing here? Thanks. Tom
Atlas007
Are you using an external MIDI track channel strip? Make sure that your Roland RD-800 is set to allow incoming program changes messages.
MikeRobinson
Can't quite visualize exactly what you mean by this: (and "exactly" in this case is important) "I see the sounds listed in the drop down menu within the Logic track," Show us. Post a screen-shot.
Tommy777
I solved the problem and it was a series of issues. Centrally, the Rd-800 has to be in "Live Set" mode to communicate the sounds to logic. Also had to download a new driver for RD-800 at the Roland site.
