Goergtn
Not quite sure where to post this query, since it’s not entirely Logic related. For the past couple months, every time I do an OS update and restart, my IMac starts Logic automatically. Periodically, I do a reset of SMC or PRAM reset and it will happen then also. I’ve looked in the “startup items” folder and it is empty. Any ideas where to look to stop this? Not a big problem, but I’d like it to stop. Tanks. MikeRobinson
Right-click on the icon in the toolbar and, under "options," see if Open at Login is checked.
facej
If you do the software update while Logic Pro is open the restarts of the machine will eventually wind you up with Logic Pro still open. Quit Logic Pro before you start the update.
Goergtn
Right-click on the icon in the toolbar and, under "options," see if Open at Login is checked. Looked there - “Open at login” was not checked. I checked it, then unchecked it / shut down the computer without any programs running. Half hour later, powered up and my computer launched Logic again! Thanks, anyway. facej - I never have anything running when I do OS updates, Logic updates, or any updates. Thanks for the heads up tho.
Goergtn
FYI - Go to prefs>users/groups>login items (upper right tab) Use minus sign (-) to get rid of highlighted app Viola! No more Logic automatic start-ups
