Region Popup annoying

The window popping up when you move a region is highly annoying and all too apparently nobody at Apple checked it for its usability at all. Thing is, more often than not, the stupid thing is overlapping just the very area where you need it the least, namely where you'd like to place a region.

Obviously not an issue with previous Logic versions (as so many things, yuck...).

Go to Preferences-Display-Windows and uncheck Show Help Tags it's must resolve your issue.

It doesn't resolve the issue if you want to use the help tag though. I use the help tags all the time to check for the exact position or length of my regions, so I want to keep them visible, however they're often completely in the way of what I'm trying to edit. It didn't use to be like that back in Logic 9, this is a new issue that came with Logic Pro X.

 

Same issue with the help tag in the Piano Roll: try resizing a short note located at the bottom of your screen, the help tag covers your mouse pointer and you can't see what you're doing.

As David, I actually *do* use the box to get some informations. And again as David said, it hasn't been an issue with previous versions.

So, right now I do occasionally switch it off until I'm annoyed about the lack of information, then switch it back on until I'm annoyed with the box hiding other things of informational value - and so forth.

With regions I just zoom in a bit and grab in a spot so the help flag doesn't get in the way. Don't know if that would work with them appearing over notes in piano roll though.

Well, they could just go back to the LP9 way of dealing with things. Problem solved. Seriously, this has never been an issue until LPX. I just don't get it, why do they change things for the worse all the time?

@StratosBlu It looks like you've posted only a quote of my message, so I'm not sure what you meant to add to this topic?

There is the unassigned Show/Hide Help Tags key command.
It's at least quicker than going to the View settings when you temporarily need the tag out of the way.
