A midi channel-based Articulation Switcher Please

Recommended Posts

I hope that this is a place for suggesting new features in Logic Pro.

What I want to see is a midi channel-based articulation switcher for libraries whose articulations are all organized on separate tracks. EastWest Strings would be a good example. For instance, all the Staccato notes for, say, the violas are on one track, but that track will require designating a midi channel # in order to call it up.

The only switcher I know of that operates this way is an older version which is no longer available. It requires force-quitting in order to revert to a different saved version of a project or, for that matter, a different project altogether. Logic will go into the eternal spinning beachball mode. The Logic Tech guy told me that this was because Logic had come up against a software glitch that is incompatible with or unauthorized by Logic.
