CHKComposer
I think Logic 10.4 has a memory leak problem.(Or some problem where it is taking up all the machines RAM and not releasing it.) Ever since updating I have been getting the spinning wheel. I opened up a project today and got the spinning pinwheel upon opening. An error came up saying my machine was out of memory and to close applications. I took the following screenshots. The Activity Monitor showed Logic was using 86 GB of RAM (60GB compressed). After force quitting Logic I reopened the same project. It opened and played fine, and it listed its memory usage at 9.4 GB. This didn't happen before I updated to 10.4. Is it possible a plug-in is causing this? It's basically impossible to troubleshoot because you can open and close a project 10 times and it won't happen. And then out of no where the same project won't open and I'll get the memory full error again. Any ideas? Or is this just something that Apple has to fix in the next update? Marcus Aurelius
Hello - Did you ever resolve this? I'm experiencing the same problem. Logic's memory usage creeps up from 8GB to 30GB and keeps going, incrementing up and up over a matter of minutes, until it becomes unusable and I have to quit.
