TequilaKez Posted March 4, 2015 Share Posted March 4, 2015 I find myself side chaining almost everything to at least a kick these days and so bussing like tracks together and using just one compressor would save some time. Thing is, the side chain input meter always fires early, which I hoped was just a visual glitch. But the sound is never quite right and bouncing the bus and looking at the 'holes' punched by th compressor, it's definitely happening too early. My hunch is that PDC for this kind of routing is double compensating. Anyone know if this is a bug or just an unavoidable caveat or such routing in DAWs in general. An acceptable workaround would be just to alt drag compressor plugins to the various channels but this invokes another long time logic bug that copied compressors, or channels containing them, don't retain the side chain settings.
