wip
A heads up for those of you who still edits MIDI notes in the Event list: If I write in (with the pencil tool) a MIDI note in the Piano Roll with Snap on, I may not drag increase it's Position value in the Event list editor. I may however drag it forward/earlier. If I write it in with Snap off I may increase/decrease its value as I wish. Can anyone verify this? k
David Nahmani
I don't see this behavior here. I can pencil in a new note with Snap turned on and drag its position value in the Event List editor to adjust its position.
Eric Cardenas
Not sure of the exact steps yet but I can trigger it. Moving this to the bugs section.
David Nahmani
Confirmed when activating snap automation. Still works as expected here: in the Piano Roll, snap is on, set to bar, snap automation is active, set to bar. I pencil in a new note in the Piano Roll, and I can drag its position value up/down in the Event List to make it move in the Piano Roll. Eric Cardenas
OK. It has nothing to do with snapping. It happens on the 4th beat of a measure Here's an animation of the problem. Snapping is set to off:
David Nahmani
Someone else reported that bug to me, but I still cannot reproduce it.
volovicg
[CONUNDRUM SOLVED] check that 4th beat of a measure conclusion as I can only reproduce it when the last note is within 1 beat of the end of the region (whether it's the 4th or not).... If you only made a single measure region - it will be the 4th beat, but also the last beat prior to region end....
David Nahmani
Yes! Greg, you da man. That was it. Now I can reproduce the bug. Moved to the bug section.

wip
Beautiful! That's what i did - penciled in a one measure region before drawing in the notes..and yes, it tried dragging the very last note in the region. Hope they fix it soon. k
