CHKComposer
Since upgrading to 10.4 I've been getting a random freeze/slowdown every once in a while. Basically I hit play, the cursor changes to a spinning pinwheel and my project will start playing back, sometimes with sound/sometimes without, the playback head will move, if there's a movie it will play. The transport controls will be locked up. If I hit the space bar once it will continue to play and eventually it will stop. I can save the project and quit. But if I try playing, the same thing will happen. Quitting the application and reopening solves the problem until the next time. All drives are SSD. 64GB Ram. Running latest version of Sierra. (Not High Sierra). Never had this issue until upgrading to 10.4. Anyone else?
isoLogic
Constant spinning color wheel on a brand new Mac, even in the finder. The Mac behaves as though its too busy doing things for invisible benefactors. I can't even type without seeing that damn wheel for 20 seconds. CHKComposer
Thank you for reply. That seems like a different issue. Mine only happens in Logic.
asinla
Hey Chris! Did you ever get this sorted out? I'm having the same issue now. Hit play, spinning beach ball. I can wait about 2 mins then it will either say System Overload or just start playing fine. Seems to be happening since I updated Omnisphere and bought Keyscape. Thanks! -A
