guavadude
In Logic 10.4.5, I can no longer use the scroll wheel on my mouse to adjust the pan width. The ends of the green pan area still light up correctly but nothing happens now when I scroll. I used this all the time in 10.4.4. I sent feedback but can someone with a scroll wheel mouse please confirm. thx
guavadude
yeah, my scroll wheel is now only working to scroll windows. The sends, pan, faders...nothing responds to scroll anymore when I'm over it like it used to. Can someone else please confirm this.
Ploki
Does that mean that Nob Control midi controller will also stop working?
Ploki
also yes - confirmed, but also in 10.4.
Tribalman
You mean on channel strip under the inspector Right ? Yes, me too. Before, my wheel mouse was able to move level fader. No more now ... I must confess that I never use this fonction Maybe a secure change to avoid accidental mixer modification ?
guavadude
Yes in the channel strips. I just use the mouse for fader moves but no longer being able to use the scroll wheel to adjust stereo pan width is a major loss.
Tribalman
Yes in the channel strips. I just use the mouse for fader moves but no longer being able to use the scroll wheel to adjust stereo pan width is a major loss. Channel level still working ? Yesterday not for me. I’ll check it again later :/
guavadude
I meant mouse pulling fader. Scroll wheel doesn’t appear to be supported for anything anymore.
Tribalman
And I’m pretty sure mouse wheel worked on fader but ONLY on the inspector channel strip. It was 10.4.3 or before.
Mark R
Yes, In recent previous versions it seems like it was restricted to working only in the inspector. Seemed like a good compromise but I always had a caution flag going in my head, especially when using a mouse whose weighted wheel is set to 'non ratcheting' mode. Far too easy to unknowingly make changes while navigating the mouse through an area. Maybe this could be (yet another) pref setting, with an option to include the mixer? This would also help those who like to park the mouse pointer over screen controls and dial away with a Nob Control or Controller Mate. (also trackpad) Good times! Oh, wait a minute, we will all be touch screening our new macs with new iPad Pros any day now. Never mind.
robinloops
Luckily it still works in plugins.

robinloops
stereo pan can not be adjusted anymore with mouse. need to type in numbers i order to use a stereo pan. Grabbing the ends and moving them with the mouse still works for me.
guavadude
Yeah but it takes me about five tries to grab the ends and narrow the width instead of moving the panning. Before I could just hover over it and use the scroll wheel and dial it right in first try.
guavadude
Anyone else get this weird pan behavior in the Inspector window...the stereo pan basically is frozen. I can light up the ends but it won't respond to my mouse movement. I can't move the pan in any way. If I go to the arrange window and use the mini pans, then it wakes the inspector pans back up and they become responsive again. Weird. Maybe this is another part of what was broken when I lost the scroll wheel usage. Hopefully it will be fixed as well. I know I've asked them enough times! robinloops
The ability to use mouse scrolling in inspector was broken in logic 10.4.5 ( and still not fixed). Fortunately it still works with plugins. I sadly never knew this existed until I read about it being broken and have always wished it would work in a standalone mixer window... guavadude
if anyone reading this would please do me a solid and send Logic Feedback telling them that you've lost the will to live without the ability to use your scroll wheel! thx
ermetic
I used this a lot. For faders, pan and sends... Still NOT working in the 10.4.

I'll try your workaround, but dang, that's a PITA.
robinloops
Fixed in 10.4.
ckbarlow
Fixed in 10.4.7 Hmm. Not for me. Weird. (I don't have a scroll wheel; referring just to the Stereo Pan width -- can't adjust it like I used to be able to, and I double-checked that I'm for sure in 10.4.7.) guavadude
It’s still inverted. Please send Logic Feedback asking to change it to how it was. Sometimes I think people are just messing with me.
