absolute vs. relative display mode in file editor

I don't know if this is a bug but it's very confusing. The manual is outdated and refers to an Audio File Editor’s View > Link submenu that doesn't exist. It's quite convoluted to figure out how to view absolute or relative and how the view seems to change from one to the other. I worked out these steps:

Note: You have to close the editor before selecting a different region as a starting point for any of these steps. For example you can use step one on a region but to use step one on another region you have to close the editor before selecting the new region.

relative mode:

1. double click a region in the Project Audio Browser. If you select a region in the tracks area it will be in absolute mode

2. select a region in the tracks area and hit E, if you select another region it will be in absolute mode

absolute mode:

3. select a region in the tracks area and double click, you can switch regions in the tracks area and stay in absolute mode. If you select a region in the Project Audio Browser it will be in relative mode

Switching:

4. to switch a region from relative to absolute: click on a region, hit E. Hit E again to close the editor then double click.

5. to switch a region from absolute to relative: double click a region in tracks area, click on another region in the project audio browser, and while still in the project audio browser click the 1st region. OR double click a region in tracks area, hit E to close the editor. Select another region and hit E, hit E again to close the editor. Go back to the first region and hit E.
