Atlas007
That is due to the automation<->fader-event's Ch# allocation discrepancy between an audio and a software instrument. For a same automation parameter the audio track's one will have different Ch# than the software instrument's one. That could be verified in the Automation Event List editor (default US: key-command: Ctrl-Cmd-E). Then, the procedure would normally be to copy the selected automation, and by pressing the Option key to open and select from the menu to choose the destination parameter to automate. A dialog box should then appear offering the options to either convert or copy-convert to the destination. Although that doesn't always work reliably. In such case, I resort to copy paste between the Automation's Event list editor windows and then change the destination fader-events' Ch# accordingly.
