nlandis
I’m trying to create a script that’s essentially a cross between the note repeater and the arpeggiator (really a simpler version of an arpeggiator): as long as a key is held down (i.e. as long as the note is on) it repeats at the desired frequency, stopping when the key is released (i.e. note off). It’s similar to the existing note repeater, but rather than a preset number of repeats, it does so indefinitely as long as the key is pressed. The part I’m having the most trouble wrapping my head around is how to “listen” for a note off event, since a separate instance of HandleMidi will be called for note on and note off. Does anyone have any experience with this, or has anyone seen something similar out there? I’d appreciate any help or advice.
Dewdman42
I’m not at a computer right now to write code for you but you can declare variables, including arrays, at the global level which will retain their value between calls to handlemidi
