Dan Grant
My input sound level captured and displayed in the waveform window are capped at or near 25 even though the display allows for up to 100 (see attachment). This happens even with all software and hardware volumes set to highest levels. Additionaly the levels in the meters never peak out and never go into the red. I have the exact same issue in both GarageBand v10 and Logic Pro X. I use Presonus AudioBox 1818VSL for an interface. The following trouble shooting sequence fixed it once: Removing AudioBox VSL completely, Repairing disk permissions, Zapping the PRAM, and resetting SMC. But it doesn't seem to work now. Can anyone help me please? Have spent more than several hours trying everything I know time and again. David Nahmani
As a troubleshooting step, try getting the Presonus out of the equation and make a recording with the iMac's built-in microphone: does the issue go away ?
