chrissnr
Someone PLEASE help me! I am going crazy. Basically in Logic pro X AND even in garageband - my audio track is recording ANY sound coming out of the output. Even if its just the click playing - the audio track will record it. It is NOT a sound bleed. I have my monitors off and headphones on low. I have even unplugged the mic from my interface. If i hit record, the track will record everything. Running Logic Pro X on a Macbook pro OS X 10.11 EL Capitan using a Steinberg ur22mkII Any help PLEASE!!
chrissnr
ALSO, Say if i have a song on youtube playing or in itunes, the audio track will record that. Despite my monitors and headphones being turned off.
Eric Cardenas
Go to System Preferences > Yamaha Steinberg USB and turn off Loopback.
rivergumrob
I'm having this exact same problem with the same interface, however when I open system preferences, there is no option called 'Loopback'. Where do I find that? Or is there another way to solve the problem? I'm trying to record vocals over a piano track that I've recorded, and the piano is appearing on my new audio track as I record vocals, even though they have different inputs etc.
bmcdonald
I am having the same issue. Interface is yamaha mg10xu. I'm not seeing the "loopback" option in system preferences. This issue is making it impossible to have a clean recording is any other audio is playing simultaneously.
calliesma
Has anyone got an answer to this? It seems to be a common problem that no one has addressed.
JakobP
It's a setting in the interface, usually one of those small mixers on which you choose what audio goes through the usb connection. The other usual case is some loopback feature on the interface, like in the Steinberg/Yamaha posts above... 1
