feder9426
Hey there, I'm looking to create a duplicate copy of MIDI notes in the Piano Roll editor, in the same place as the original notes. Holding down option and clicking on the notes and dragging will duplicate MIDI notes where you drag your cursor, and copy and pasting will duplicate the notes but will paste them later in the timeline, not in their original place. Has anyone found a key command or a workaround that can create a duplicate copy of notes, in their original location? Thanks! -Matt
Solution Eric Cardenas Posted May 3, 2018 Solution Share Posted May 3, 2018 Copy and paste should work as long as your playhead is at the starting position of the first event. You can however use a "better" paste functionality. Copy the notes then choose Edit > Paste at Original Position. You can also create a key command for this function which makes it much faster to work with.

Thanks Hi there Janko, I think the user is looking to find a quicker way to duplicate notes in the piano roll than copying and pasting. Hope this helps!
