Getting Acoustic Guitar “Tight” with tempo

Hi guys I’m pretty new to logic and as a matter of fact recording as is. My question is how can I get my rhythm acoustic guitar tighter with the bpm? I’m already recording with the metronome on and I don’t want a drastic change I just want it closer on beat but without stretching the audio.

Depending of your project end result, you might find interesting to keep your guitar groove as such and make the other instruments and percussion follow you as the rhythm reference. If that is something you like to explore, you could find the Groove track feature quite interesting...

On the other hand you could use the audio quantise feature available in FlexTime'd tracks. This uses Quantise Flex markers to pull or push the audio nearer the beat.

 

- enable flextime on your guitar track

- set the algorithm to Polyphonic

- open the audio edit window and enable Flextime view

- when the Track view is enabled the Quantise Flex Markers can be

- manually moved around to stretch or squeeze the audio

- added by putting the mouse between

- deleted by hitting the relevant x when you hover over the marker

- now select the region in the Workspace and select your Quantise value in the Region Inspector

- expand the >More to see Q(uantise) Strength to adjust the amount of Quantise you want to apply

 

Ah yeah, sorry, this technique _will_ stretch and squeeze your audio and I just re-read and noticed you weren't looking for that!
