ValliSoftware
So here's what I've done to get Sampler to not pop up the missing Audio file message in Sampler for 3rd party EXS instruments. I have a Kirk Hunter EXS library and copied only the EXS files to the Sampler Instrument in Audio Music Apps. The folders I copied there has 11,927 items, that includes folders and files that mark sections in his libraries. Next I followed this suggestion but used my Samplers folder for the Kirk Hunter library on my external hard drive as the exclude/release folder as shown in this video. Once I did this, now when I go into Sampler, I don't get the missing Audio file error message. The reason this makes sense is, while you exclude at first a folder, it's when you release it, that's when Spotlight says, oh, you've released this folder, I better index it RIGHT NOW. ValliSoftware
As an update to this. Spotlight on my M1 MacMini had finished the re-index fast but on my Intel MacMini which isn't a SSD based system, I did have "not found errors" so I let it sit and re-index and I just check again since I posted this and everything is fine.
