simpleton
if you need to input notes and don't have a MIDI keyboard you can use the graphic keyboard in the EXS24 editor 1. open an EXS24 editor (one from an Inst you're using or a blank new one) 2. in the Arrange select another Inst that you want to play 3. click back onto the EXS24 editor 4. play/record notes with mouse one drawback is that you can only play one note at a time but, unlike the Caps Lock keyboard, the EXS24 editor keyboard is more than 8 octaves in the picture i'm using the editor keyboard from an empty bypassed EXS24 on Inst 5 to play Spectrasonics Atmosphere on Inst 6 you can leave this editor open and hanging just below the Arrange (like in the picture) and just click onto it when you need it
simpleton
one more note about this tip obviously, it's a pain to "play" with the mouse. it's even harder because the default EXS24 editor keyboard has small keys. at the bottom of the editor window is a zoom control that you can use to make the keyboard bigger. the standard zoom key commands also work.
