Christopher11
I really enjoyed the sounds on this recent demo from Spectrasonics: I understand some software can respond to most controllers, and have all the functionality mapped... but it seems like Eric Persing is explaining here that you also have the sounds of the Moog Sub 37, the Dave Smith Prophet synth, the Voyager, etc... modeled within Omnisphere? Does that mean that in buying the program you have these sounds without having to own those synths? Thank you for any reply.
dpcoffin
You get all the Omnisphere patches inspired by the listed hardware. "New Hardware Sound Library Omnisphere 2.5 includes a stunning new “Hardware Library” with over 1,000 new patches created by Eric Persing and the renowned Spectrasonics Sound Development team. Each hardware profile has a corresponding set of sounds in the Hardware Library which were specially designed using that hardware synth as an Omnisphere controller. These inspiring new sounds feature a wide range of categories and many have a distinctly ‘classic analog’ flavor! Best of all, the new sounds are available for ALL users, regardless of using the hardware or not! Christopher11
Thank you for that. Obviously it's a very different thing to have those sounds available than just the ability to map any given synth as a controller. With the sounds he demos on the video though, those are available without the hardware; you could access them with any controller?
