Help transforming encoder input on control surface (Faderport)

Recommended Posts

I'm using a PreSonus Faderport control surface with Logic Pro X. I want to set up the encoder so that it switches between 8 different modes. I thought I could create a transformer in the environment to convert the rotary 1-127 values into 1-15, 16-30, etc for each mode position. Or perhaps I could use a transformer to change the input so that the encoder only sends 8 different values? Then I could assign a different value to 8 separate modes in the controller assignments.

My biggest problem is that I can't even find a way to transform the Faderport encoder values. The physical input in the environment only sends values when Bypass All Control Surfaces is enabled. How do I access the Faderport's incoming values when control surfaces aren't being bypassed?
