Ableton Live rewire slave IAC port MIDI setup

Recommended Posts

with this you can control ableton live in Logic thru IAC midi port

and Audio instrument 1-4set up for Multi instrument (RMX, Kontakt, Guru..etc)

there are 2kinds of MPC quantize(16 and 32) and a home made swing groove quantize

You have to go to Audio and Midi setup and make one IAC port

*Don't forget to select only IAC midi port in Ableton live when you are using it as a rewire slave mode

enjoy!!!!

*if there is any problem let me know

(you might have to change click and ports enviroment setup little)

because we are using all diffrent controllers and midi interface right?

I'm a bit confused as to what exactly this does.

I thought the whole point of rewire was that it can send midi from the host and audio from the slave?

can someone tell me a practical application for this?

Hello Funk!

You can't send mid signals to Ableton live from Logic thru rewire(somehow it is not like Reason)

so, you need to set up an IAC midi port to send Midi signals to control Ableton live in Logic. (if you don't you will only get audio signals from Ableton Live)still confuse?
