RockBottom
The attached Logic song defines a mapped midi instrument and an Hyper Edit set [aka hyper-set] for the studio toolkit sampler found in the “rhythm section” jam pack (the sampler itself and the corresponding samples are not included). The mapped instrument or the hyper-set can easily be imported into your own song by opening an environment window, and selecting import settings [for the hyper-set] from the local option pop-down menu, or import environment [for the mapped instrument] and selecting layer, then, in the flip menu, midi maps. Since the mapping of this kit is fully undocumented, I labeled the notes after the samples when possible, else I used the symbolic name of the zones and groups to figure it out – that explains why there is no bass drum #5, and why the numbering appears to be random... All in all, the studio toolkit comprises 9 bass drums, 10 snare drums, 6 tom-toms, 2 hi-hat cymbals, 3 crash cymbals, 2 splash cymbals, and 3 ride cymbals, plus a jingle stick. All of the sounds are velocity-layered. studio_toolkit_map.zip studio toolkit map.lso studio toolkit map.pdf
David Nahmani
Thanks for those, RockBottom, that's great work! Those should be included in the Jam Pack themselves!
RockBottom
> Those should be included in the Jam Pack themselves! Well, the primary target are GB users and they can't use maps...
