deckard1
Hello, I know this is a stupid question...but, where in the world does Logic store the project files on my Mac? I mean the files that are created when Logic prompts you to 'Save' when quitting the application. I use the default location...whatever that is. Thanks. David Nahmani
The Save window lets you choose both the name and the location for your project files. The default location is: your_username/Music/Logic/

David Nahmani
If you used them recently, you can choose File > Open Recent > ... otherwise navigate to that path in the Finder (click your home folder in a Finder window, then open the Music folder and open the Logic folder to find your project files, and double-click the one you want to open. Thanks, David! It worked. Now that I have that out of the way, how would I find the Logic files that are stored on an external hard drive? Thanks. DaveRobinson
One way would be to use one of the best apps on Mac. Spotlight. Open Finder and from the Main Menu, choose View > Show Path Bar (or press Option-Cmd-P) Now you can see the Path at the bottom of the finder window as you browse in finder. Select the disk you want to search in the Finder Sidebar so you can see your external disk folders in finders main window. Click in the Search box at the top right of the Finder window and type: Full stop logic. e.g. .logic or .logicx Spotlight will search ’This Mac’ as it defaults to search everything. The animation at the bottom right of the window shows the search is progressing. If you look to the top left of the Finder window you’ll see… Search: This Mac “Your Disk Name” When spotlight completes searching ‘This Mac’ click on “You’re Disk Name” and spotlight will search only your external disk. In the main finder window click/selecting a logic project will show the Path at the bottom of the finder window. Use the Arrow keys to move along the projects/files and the Path along the bottom of the window will change to reflect the new path. If you Control-Click Right-Click on a file and select ’Show in Enclosing Folder’ a new window will open the project folder.
