Lazy M Beats
Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to delete notes under a certain length. I am using the Fishman triple play to record MIDI and when moving between frets I will get unintended MIDI notes that are scattered across the piano roll. Often times it would be helpful if there was a command to delete notes under a certain length to get rid of these. Any ideas?
Eric Cardenas
Use MIDI Transform to select and get rid of note events that has a specific length or less.
Lazy M Beats
Hey Eric, Thanks for the response! Could you break this down for me even further? I have selected all the notes in the piano roll and gone into the transform menu but I'm not quite sure what to do from there.
Eric Cardenas
The way to set this up is to use the Delete selected events mode. The Conditions should be Status = Note, and Length <= [YOUR DESIRED NOTE LENGTH]. This is for note lengths of 2 16th notes or less:
angelonyc
You can open a template and create various TRANSFORM functions, give them an appropriate name, then save template.. Now when you start a new project, those functions are already available.
