rekloos
Moved the sample library ( alchemy, ultrabeat, apple loops) to an external and created aliases to those folders which logic recognizes and i get access to everything no problem but everytime i open logic it automatically starts downloading additional content, even if im not connected to the internet it still tries to download and im getting this annoying box which i can't get rid of. I'm on 10.11.4 and logic 10.2.
Eric Cardenas
Don't use aliases for this task. Use symbolic links instead.

rekloos
Wow!! I'm baffled! We still have to jump thru all these hoops these days just to link to an external folder.
Roger Paolo
hey there, I also used Symbolic links to store the factory content externally. Works like a charm. But if the disk is not connected to my laptop Logic automatically starts downloadint the basic database. I don't want that. how can I prevent this? Mania
I think you have to have the basic content on your laptop for logic to be able to function.
keithsmith
Logic will have to follow the link on launch and recognise that the content is there, so I can’t see a way of not having the external drive attached without it attempting to perform the download process again, unfortunately.
