AU Validation fails because of output buffer size?

Hi,

I just installed a few new plugs (IK's Amplitube 2, Jimi Hendrix, and Metal) and when L8 goes through the plug validation, I get this message:

1 to 2 Channel Render Test at 256 frames

ERROR: Output Buffer Size does not match requested num frames

* * FAIL

--------------------------------------------------

AU VALIDATION FAILED: CORRECT THE ERRORS ABOVE.

--------------------------------------------------

validation result: failed validation

These plugs show up and work great in Live 7 with no problem at all.

Any thoughts as to what this might be?

Thanks!

I don't use these plugs but the first thing I'd do is make sure you have the latest updates from IK's support page and I'd send them an email if you still have difficulties. If it's an issue, I'm sure they'll know about it. Good luck.

The error reported would not necessarily cause the plugin to either

fail in service, or to create a problem which would crash Logic.

However, if you use the plugin, be aware of its shortcomings and treat

it as a prime suspect if you experience erratic behaviour in Logic after

installing it.

Looks like I'm a little late for this party, but I've just upgraded to Leopard and I'm having this same problem. Amplitube will still work however, if you activate it in the plug-in manager, and the plugs will be under 'incompatible' in the plug in list on your channel strips. Check out this thread for more info...
