Yamaha s90Xs

Hi people

I cannot get my wonderful new synth to talk to Logic. I have downloaded and installed the driver but Logic just does not seem to be seeing the Yamaha.

Midi is set to USB as that is what I am using. I have tried another cable so it does not seem to be that.

Any ideas

When you press keys on the Yamaha keyboard, do you see MIDI activity in your transport bar (where it would otherwise say "No in"?

I assume we're talking about the Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver? Have you downloaded the lastest version? And, does it appear in both System Preferences>Other and in the MIDI Section of the Audio MIDI Setup? If not, it is not properly installed and you will need to completely uninstall and re-install the driver. The instructions are included in the download.

Last of all, are you seeing any incoming MIDI notes in Logic's transport, when you play? And, of course, include that info about the OS, etc...

Yes the driver does show up in Other in System Preferences and as a device in the System Profiler utility.

Yes it is showing up in the transport at No in so clearly it is seeing it?

And in fact it is recording beautifully now!
