Hatchet
Hi there, I have a few midi instruments in my project, two of which being an ES2 and Fabfilter Twin 2. I have them both sidechained to bus channel 6, listening to a kick, and affecting their pitch/filters etc accordingly. There is no stereo output for bus channel 6, but the plugins still read the signal. When i bounce a midi region from either of these tracks down to audio it ignores the fact the plugins are following sidechains, leaving me with an unsidechained versions. I'm using Logic Pro 9, if you nee any more details please let me know Thanks
Matt Mayfield
I think you will have to bounce these realtime using a bus. Set the output of the desired tracks to an unused bus, make a stereo audio track with that bus as its input, and record the part manually. Hatchet
Great thanks, This seems to be the solution, as i am now getting the correct sidechained effect, routed it round to an audio track via bus like you said.. I just cant seem to figure out recording the audio channel in realtime, i know its simple but i haven't had to do it until now! Your help is much appreciated H
